I love the HDR feel of this expanse of Frankfurt.
Frankfurt is a city with a great mix of both old and new, and here is a glimpse of the "new" Frankfurt.

| While in Germany we got to enjoy the wonder of Kristkindlmarkt which is the German Christmas Market. They had everything from fun foods to nutcrackers to tree ornaments. It was enthralling to simply look around. Here are a few pictures from the Kristkindlmarkt in Frankfurt. |

Baby Sophia was born in the wee morning hours on December 10th. And the very next day Ales and I got to see her and I got to snap some great newborn shots of her sweet pink face. Sadly I didn't have my new lens at that point, so I'm planning on taking more, even better photos. So we'll call these the "First Few Days" with the "First Month" to come ; ) |

So we went to church today. Well, we went to the building, not the actually service. We tried to go to church. We took a bus until the bus would go no more, then we walked uphill for a mile. No kidding. At least it was almost a mile. So we arrive panting at the church (well, I was panting... hey! I've been sick, I have an excuse) to this sign: |

Some photos of our brief stop through Vilnius, Lithuania.

Loved the romanticism of this door that we discovered as we wandered through Vilnus.
I'll post more pictures of Vilnus soon ....

Over the holidays my mom and I had some fun making cute desserts as gifts for some friends and family. I like to experiment, especially while in the States, as I had all the ingredients at my fingertips. Most specialty items are hard to come by in Belarus. My mom also made her pound cake and spice nuts which she is reknowned for. She makes them every Christmas. |
